Passing synthetic regression cases covering shared normalization rules.

GTM systemsSELECT A STEP

The problem

Simple string splitting damaged initials and compound names, while different environments could apply conflicting rules. Greeting preparation needed a shared contract.

My contribution

  • Implemented shared JavaScript rules and a Python adapter for contact processing.
  • Generated compatible Clay expressions and added separate-field and full-name input handling.
  • Preserved accents and initials, retained raw names, and applied an explicit greeting fallback.

Evidence & scope

Used curated cases, generated transformations, seeded fuzzing, integration checks, and synthetic Clay examples. Published formulas were read back after saving.

What came out of it

Delivered reusable rules that passed extensive regression checks and produced consistent greetings across local processing and Clay.

Delivered reusable normalization logic and published Clay updates. The rules explicitly account for limits in inferring cultural name boundaries.
